Changes to Fees for Visa Services

Nonimmigrant Visa Fees

Blanket L-1 visa applicants are required to pay a $500.00 Fraud Prevention and Detection Fee. The fee is paid at the time of the visa interview by the principal applicant only and in addition to the nonimmigrant visa application fee.

Immigrant Visa Fees

The immigrant visa processing fee is $400 (this amount includes the Immigrant Visa Security Surcharge of $45.00).  Immigrant visa applicants are required to pay the fee on the day of the visa interview; applications being processed through the National Visa Center (NVC), pay the fee before the NVC begin processing the case.

The Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery

The Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery fee is $375.00 (per person applying for an immigrant visa as a result of the lottery program). The fee is paid on the day of the visa interview.

Application for returning resident status

The fee for returning resident status is $400.00.
