As of April 9, 2009, a new online appointment system has been available for most American Citizen Services requiring a personal appearance in Dublin. Please see information provided below to schedule your appointment.
American Citizens Services
Please visit our webpage on Passport Services for information on all passport applications. Most American citizens can renew their passports without having to come to the Embassy.
Some passport applicants may be required to make a personal appearance and must schedule an appointment online. All services are available during the hours below, except on Irish and American holidays.
Online Appointment System for American Citizens Services
Passport Appointments are available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Notarial Services are provided by online appointment, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Consular Reports of Birth Abroad appointments are available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Security at the Embassy
Please do not bring any electronic devices, such as laptop computers, Blackberries, iPods, or large bags, such as backpacks, suitcases or packages to the Consular Section as there are no storage facilities on Embassy grounds. Security guards may hold small tourist cameras and cell phones until your departure, but there is no storage available for any other large items or electronic devices — please do not bring them at the time of your appointment.
