Ambassador Rooney Launches Prominent Alumni Lecture Series

U.S. Ambassador Dan Rooney and his wife Mrs. Patricia Rooney welcomed Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Frances Fitzgerald TD, to his residence on May 17 to officially launch and deliver the inaugural remarks in the new Prominent Alumni Lecture Series. 

Speaking of the long-standing bonds between the United States and Ireland, Minister Fitzgerald spoke about her own experiences in the United States and her work for the children and youth of Ireland. The semi-annual lecture series will highlight alumni of U.S. Government-sponsored programs who have excelled in their work or study.  The series is co-hosted by the Ireland United States Alumni Association (http://www.irishusalumni.com/).
