SPACE CAMP® was founded in 1982 as the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Museum’s education program to promote the study of math, science, and technology. This educational program couples classroom instruction with hands-on activities and teaches teamwork, decision-making, and leadership. Space Camp has become known as one of the premier math/science/technology educational programs in the United States.

Mairéad Kelly and Ralph Moran submitted winning photo captions for a series of photos posted on the U.S. Embassy website. Aislinn McCabe won the teacher category based on her interactive lesson plan for 5/6th year classes. This competition is part of the U.S. Embassy’s science outreach in 2012. With special thanks to Dublin City University.
