On October 10, the Embassy’s (former) Charge d’Affaires, Jonathan Benton, and his wife, Anne, hosted a reception along with the All Ireland Cancer Foundation (AICF) in honor of the Dublin visit of Susan Crosby, President of Women in Government (WIG).

WIG is a U.S. organization of women state legislators dedicated to the prevention, screening, and awareness of cervical cancer.

During her visit, Ms. Crosby met with the Minister for Health and Children, Mary Harney, and Oireachtas (Parliament) members to discuss the efforts of WIG and the AICF to address this disease.
